How to block numbers:
First, you need to decide what numbers you want to block. If you frequently receive calls from concealed numbers (usually when someone dials *67 before your number), you probably want to turn on the "Concealed Numbers" option. Each phone may call these "Concealed Numbers" something different. For example most Motorola phones refer to these numbers as "Private number" or "Unknown", while HTC phones refer to these as "Restricted". This option will block any call when the phone cannot see the incoming phone number, and works independantly of the block list (for more on the block list please see below).

If you frequently receive calls from numbers that you do not recognize, for example telemarketers or bill collectors, you may want to simply block all numbers that are not listed in your contacts. To do this, simply select the "Non-Contacts" option. Again, this works independantly of the block list. Important: This option will only work using your Google contacts, and not any contacts that may be stored on your SIM card. You can import your SIM card contacts to your Google contacts from your phone's contacts screen: Select Menu then Import/Export.

Lastly, if you want to block specific numbers, you can do so using the block list. Make sure the option is enabled from the main application. If you are using the widget to add incoming calls to the block list - again, make sure the block list is enabled! There is more information on the widget below.

From the main preferences screen of the application, select Menu then Block List

When the block list opens, select Menu then Add from Call Log, Add from Contacts, or Add Manually if you want to type the number in yourself. To remove a number from the list, tap it and the application will ask you to confirm that you want to delete the number. Import and Export the block list - You can now easily backup your block list. From the block list window select Menu then Export to save your block list to the SD Card. The format will be | (pipe) delimited. You can also import an existing block list in the same manner.

How to use the Widget:
1) Press and hold on the home screen (or select Menu >> Add).

2) When the "Add to Home Screen" menu appears select Widgets

3) When the "Choose widget" menu appears select Advanced Call Blocker.

The widget will be added to your Home Screen. You can press and hold on the widget to move it around the Home Screen.

4) After a call comes in that you want to block, tap the widget and it will ask if you would like to block the number:

Select Yes, and the number will be blocked. Make sure your block list is enabled!

Notifications:
The notifications option will add an icon to the status bar at the top of your phone when a call is blocked:

If you drag the status bar down, you can see additional details about the call that was blocked, such as the number and time of the call. Tapping the item in the status bar or clicking "Clear" will remove it.

If you do not want to be notified when a call was blocked, simply turn this option off in the main preferences screen (Note: In the screenshot below, notifications are Enabled):
