Jan 16, 2012: Advanced Call Blocker 1.5/1.6 is now Advanced Call Blocker Legacy (2.1.16). Since over 80% of users are now on Android Firmare 2.1+ the application has been updated to the newer version and re-named Legacy.
Features:
An easy to use, light-weight call blocking application for Android. Version 2.1.* is for Android firmware 2.1, 2.2 and 2.2.1. Version 1.5.* is for Android firmware 1.5 and 1.6. Some carriers charge monthly fees to block phone numbers, and even limit how many numbers you can block. Most carriers do not even allow you to block Unknown/Private/Restricted numbers! Avoid these fees and block as many numbers as you want with Advanced Call Blocker.
3 call blocking methods:
¤ Answer and End Call - With most wireless carriers, callers will not even be sent to your voicemail. The call will be answered and then immediately ended.
¤ Send to Voicemail - Send the caller directly to voicemail.
¤ Silence - Silence both the ringer, and if it is enabled, vibrate.
*NEW* Show Caller Location: Show a callers location (State) when a call is allowed - US and Canada only.
Send SMS Reply: Reply to a blocked number with a user-defined message (when enabled).
Area Code Database: Block invalid area codes and/or any area code you specify. The history will show you where a call came from by clicking on the entry.
Import/Export Block List: Easily import or existing lists using a simple | (pipe) delimited format.
Mute First Ring: Silence the ringer and vibrate for incoming calls, then un-silence if the call is not blocked. This will reduce or eliminate ring and/or vibrate time for incoming calls that are blocked.
Block Concealed: Block Private/Unknown/Restricted numbers. This includes any numbers with no display, blank numbers etc. (essentially when someone calls your phone using *67)
Block Non-Contacts: Block all numbers that are not listed in your contacts
Use Block List: add as many numbers as you want to the block list.
From the block list, you can Add numbers from Call History, Add numbers from Contacts/Contact Group, type the number in manually or Add the last SMS/call. There is also a widget that will allow you to add the most recent incoming call to the block list. Remove a number from the block list by tapping it.
Disable if In Call ACB will not hang up on your current call if a blocked number comes in. This is highly recommended, if disabled it may hang up on both calls with the Answer and End Call method.
Notifications: Display a notification in the status bar (if enabled) when a call is blocked.
Remove from Call Log: Remove recently blocked calls from the Android call log.
View Log: View the details of all incoming calls, if a call was Blocked or Allowed, why it was blocked (based on your settings) and the date/time of the call.
Widget: Add the ACB widget to your home screen for easier call blocking. Simply tap the widget and it will ask you to confirm if you want to block the last incoming call.
