Contact Groups with Motorola MOTOBLUR

Phones with Motorola MOTOBLUR do not store user-defined contact groups in the same place as other Android devices. If your contact group is not showing up in the list when trying to add it to the block list or exception list, you must create your contact group in Gmail and sync it with your phone. The steps to do this are listed below:
Step 1 - Create a Gmail Contact Group

a) Log into Gmail via a computer or the web browser on your phone.

b) Navigate to the "Contacts" section using the "Mail" drop down menu at the top left.

c) From the menu on the left, select "New Group..."

d) Enter the group name and click "Ok".

e) Select the contacts you want to add to the group by checking the checkbox next to each name

f) Click the button at the top with the multiple person icon

g) Select the checkbox next to the group you created to add the contact to the group

h) Ensure your Google account has been added to your device

Step 2 - Sync the phone with the Gmail contacts

a) Open the app panel

b) Find and select "My Accounts"

c) Click on your Gmail account

d) Ensure that "Sync Contacts" is selected

e) Press menu and select "Sync now"

Please note: The contact group will now show up in the Advanced Call Blocker app, however the groups may not be visible in the Android systems group window.
